Antique Shelley earthenware jug with nouveau and deco influences
This antique jug is a fine example of Shelley earthenware in a transitional art nouveau / art deco pattern. Great shape with an elevated handle and a flared pouring lip as well as the art nouveau style painted design, but done in a colour palette that suggests the art deco influence. The back stamp identifies this piece as having been produced between 1916 and 1925. The jug stands 3 ¼” (83mm) to the top of the handle, with a maximum diameter of 4” (102mm). Postage will be determined at point of sale and is a cost to the buyer. We do this to ensure that our charges are accurate and fair.
