Conway Stewart model 286 fountain pen
This model was produced by Conway Stewart between 1930 and 1945. This pen appears to have been well used with the barrel legend quite worn and difficult to read. There is also obvious colour fading on the exposed barrel, noticable when the cap is unscrewed. The pen requires a new ink sac as a minimum and would benefit from a full refurbishment - priced accordingly. Postage will be determined at point of sale and is a cost to the buyer. We do this to ensure that our charges are accurate and fair.

Packaging and postage.
With every item we sell, it is our intention to take every possible care to have it delivered to you in the same condition as when it left our premises. For this reason, packaging is tailored to each item and provides the maximum protection that we consider the item requires. Any item that arrives in a damaged condition should be referred to your postal service in the first instance for assessment of their handling of the package. If satisfaction is still lacking then we will look to see whether our efforts have been inadequate for fair handling of an item and if it is found to be so we will refund the cost of the item. Postage has now become a major cost in ecommerce so we try to strike a balance that will not unduly add excessive cost to your purchase.
