Cut crystal jam / honey pot in the Georgian pattern by Webb Corbett
Today it is a pleasure for Auld Curiosities to bring you a very fine, lidded, Webb Corbett crystal jam/honey pot in the ever popular Georgian pattern. Becoming less easy to find, crystal of this quality still has the ability to be useful for everyday use or highlight a table set for fine dining. It is no secret that I regard crystal highly and companies such as Webb Corbett, Stuart Crystal and others as offering the finest crystal of their day. Minimalism and utilitarianism may well be the styles of today but frankly that doesn’t mean quality, functional items don’t have a place. The pot stands 4” (101.6mm) to the top of the lid finial and 2 7/8” (73mm) in diameter, measured across the top scalloped edge. A classic piece from the period between 1930 and 1947, the pot is offered free of chips or damage. The acid etch mark is not the clearest but does indicate that the piece was made in the Tutbury factory.
Postage will be determined at point of sale and is a cost to the buyer. We determine costs to each item as opposed to having regional postage charges to ensure that our charges are accurate and fair. PLEASE DO NOT BUY AN ITEM WITHOUT ESTABLISHING THE POSTAGE CHARGE TO BE ADDED TO THE PURCHASE PRICE.

It was reported on 11th February that Dunedin has its first active case of Covid 19 in nearly 2 years. As Auld Curiosities is a contactless ecommerce business we have no major changes to make in terms of our selling items to you. We have for the last 2 years practiced good hygiene care both when unpacking purchased items and when preparing items for postage. There will be added attention to interpersonal contact but I am doubly vaccinated and ‘boosted’, wear a hospital grade mask in public and maintain good hygiene so hopefully there will not be too much discombobulation if we can maintain the supply of items to offer customers.
If for any reason you find an item does not match the description (written or photographic) please contact Auld Curiosities by email within 7 days of the item arriving, to arrange return and refund.
Packaging and Postage
With every item we sell, it is our intention to take every possible care to have it delivered to you in the same condition as when it left our premises. For this reason, packaging is tailored to each item and provides the maximum protection that we consider the item requires. Any item that arrives in a damaged condition should be referred to your postal service in the first instance for assessment of their handling of the package. If satisfaction is still lacking then we will look to see whether our efforts have been inadequate for fair handling of an item and if it is found to be so we will refund the cost of the item. Postage has now become a major cost in ecommerce so we try to strike a balance that will not unduly add excessive cost to your purchase.
