Horseshoe topped cravat/stick pin
This cravat/stick pin is 9ct gold and stamped accordingly, probably dating to late Victorian era. The horseshoe device has 11 seed pearls going around the body of the shoe. Perhaps the most favoured design of the cravat wearing men who frequented the racecourses, this is still a sought after design. The pin is 2 ¼” (57mm) long and the horseshoe has a maximum diameter of 3/8” (9mm). The case is marked as having come from G & T Young – a well-respected New Zealand Jewellers. The hinge of the case is exposed but well attached. Postage will be determined at point of sale and is a cost to the buyer. We do this to ensure that our charges are accurate and fair.
