Iridised glass vase/posy bowl with copper stem organiser

Auld Curiosities makes every attempt to correctly identify the objects that we offer for sale. In some cases, such as this, we are unable to name a particular maker or factory. In such cases we can only suggest likely origins and rely on the objects appeal to tweak your interest. This small bud vase/posy bowl  is then best described as being in the style of Loetz and possibly hailing from a Bohemian factory such as Kralik, renowned for their iridised glass during the art nouveau period. This opinion is perhaps strengthened by the use of the copper stem organiser which has a pierced body in a pattern seen to have been used by the company.

The vase stands 4 ½” (114mm) tall and the generous coiling and ribbed pattern on the body gives the vase a maximum diameter of about 4 3/8” (111mm). No designer/maker’s name found so priced accordingly. Postage will be determined at point of sale and is a cost to the buyer.     With every item we sell, it is our intention to take every possible care to have it delivered to you in the same condition as when it left our premises. For this reason, packaging is tailored to each item and provides the maximum protection that we consider the item requires. Any item that arrives in a damaged condition should be referred to your postal service in the first instance for assessment of their handling of the package. If satisfaction is still lacking then we will look to see whether our efforts have been inadequate for fair handling of an item and if it is found to be so we will refund the cost of the item. Postage has now become a major cost in ecommerce so we try to strike a balance that will not unduly add excessive cost to your purchase

    It has now been about a year since there has been issue with Covid 19 transmission within the Otago community. While there were a few cases around the Auckland area within the last year, that is considerable distance from our base here in Dunedin. None the less all our valued customers should be reassured that we are still taking every precaution to ensure that any item purchased leave here free of any health risk to the recipient The New Zealand Government advises that we are on track with our immunisation program and every citizen over the age of 16 should have had the opportunity to be vaccinated before the end of the year.
