Uranium glass flower bowl with brass stem organiser
Yet another great piece of uranium glass for your perusal. Created by the addition of uranium salts to molten glass before it is moulded, these items glow remarkably under the influence of ultraviolet light, yet pose no risk to life than the background radiation that we are all exposed to. This somewhat squat flower bowl likely dates to the late Edwardian period, judging by the body design and the use of the pierced brass stem organiser. The bowl has a maximum diameter of approximately 115mm and stands approximately 80mm tall to the top of the organiser. Postage will be determined at point of sale and is a cost to the buyer. We do this to ensure that our charges are accurate and fair. Therefore we respectfully ask that you contact us prior to purchase, so an accurate postage cost can be agreed.
If for any reason you find an item does not match the description (written or photographic) please contact Auld Curiosities by email within 7 days of the item arriving, to arrange return and refund.
Packaging and postage.
With every item we sell, it is our intention to take every possible care to have it delivered to you in the same condition as when it left our premises. For this reason, packaging is tailored to each item and provides the maximum protection that we consider the item requires. Any item that arrives in a damaged condition should be referred to your postal service in the first instance for assessment of their handling of the package. If satisfaction is still lacking then we will look to see whether our efforts have been inadequate for fair handling of an item and if it is found to be so we will refund the cost of the item. Postage has now become a major cost in ecommerce so we try to strike a balance that will not unduly add excessive cost to your purchase.
