Waterford Bowl straight sided 7" diameter bowl

Waterford Bowl straight sided 7" diameter bowl

SKU: 2520293

Auld Curiosities is delighted to offer a straight sided hand cut crystal bowl by Waterford. The bowl has a repeating pattern of uprights separated by deep vertical panels with interlocking diamond shapes 13 to each panel. Separating the ten panels of diamonds are ten vertical single ovoid cuts. As yet it has not been possible to identify the pattern, despite considerable time being invested – but the search will continue. The acid etch mark with the name in gothic letter form  suggests the age to be 1950's to 60's. Waterford Crystal is renowned for the quality and beauty of this lead crystal. Production of crystal by Waterford Glassworks can be traced back to 1783 and earned world renown until it closed 1851. Following the end of WW2 a new factory was built and Waterford Crystal began production again. There have been mergers and revisions of the company until its present form today under the ownership of Fiskars.

The bowl stands 3 3/4" (96mm) tall and has a diameter of 7" (178mm). This is a solidly constructed bowl with the sides having a thickness of 3/8" (9mm). Postage will be determined at point of sale and is a cost to the buyer. We determine costs to each item as opposed to having regional postage charges to ensure that our charges are accurate and fair. PLEASE DO NOT BUY AN ITEM WITHOUT ESTABLISHING THE POSTAGE CHARGE TO BE ADDED TO THE PURCHASE PRICE.
