9ct gold bar brooch with 3 gemstones Imperial Topaz, Tourmaline or Citrine
Auld Curiosities is pleased to offer, for your consideration, a 9 carat gold bar brooch mounted with three yellow/gold-coloured stones which the previous owner identified as Topaz. That being said, Topaz Tourmaline and even Citrine can be difficult to tell apart so pricing is set for the latter. Brooches lost their appeal for a while in the 90’s and early 2000’s but there does seem to be slow resurgence of interest, especially in quality pieces. This brooch measures 2 ½” (63mm) in width and weighs 6.65gms. It has a straight pin and clasp fastening with a link safety chain and safety pin for security. There is a clear 9ct stamp on the reverse and a maker’s mark with the initials PJ in a square enclosure.
