Art Nouveau era sterling silver cufflinks

For your consideration, a pair of sterling silver cufflinks decorated with a strong art nouveau theme, by GH Johnstone with an assay mark for 1903 and Birmingham. These cufflinks have been with me for at least the last 25 years, and I confess I enjoyed using them when going somewhere special. I think it is the fact that most people expect to see gold coloured metal so immediately the silver is making a statement. On closer examination the decorative wedge with the strong organic theme seems to drive interest all in all – they do get noticed.
