Vintage White Carnival Glass by the Imperial Glass Company, In the early 1960’s the Imperial Glass Company of Bellaire, Ohio, USA had a long history of successful glass manufacture, including Carnival Glass when it was regarded as a product for the masses. In the early 1960’s Imperial again began producing Carnival Glass, in collector sized quantities both from original moulds and new designs. This kept the company financial buoyant until 1984 when it filed for bankruptcy, Although unsigned it seems to be universally accepted that this decorative shallow bowl is from that factory and called the Imperial Carnival Glass Ruffle Bowl in the Rose pattern and dated to the 1970’s. Measuring 297mm in diameter and standing approximately 55mm tall at the rim, this is a stunning and quite rare find these days. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or noticeable scratches.
