Brass/bronze medallion from the Seventh International Micrographic Congress

NZ$42.50

Held in Sydney in 1975 I think. There is little information on Google regarding this organisation but I did find one useful description of their role “ shed(s) light on emerging technologies, best practices, and innovative solutions in the management of electronic information and records. It explores various topics such as computer-assisted retrieval and indexing, micrographics, microfilms, office automation, and word processing. It also covers topics related to information governance, information security, and other considerations regarding the management of electronic records”. I can’t find any publication after 1998 but that isn’t to say I am looking in the right or wrong areas, nor that it means that the IMC is in recession or closed. The medallion appears to be in the original box – not sure if they were presented to the authors of papers or to attendees. Not exactly sure if it is brass with a bronze treatment or indeed bronze (as was claimed when I bought it) but regardless it is quite a keepsake or display piece. The medallion is 54mm in diameter and approx. 4mm thick. As photographs form an important part of the description, happy to provide additional images if requested. Please also take the time to check out our eclectic range of items being auctioned. #internationalmicrographiccongress #medallion #sydneyaustralia #brassbroinze #7thimccongress #presentationbox
