Popular EPNS mid-century christening gift, boxed spoon and food pusher
A number of different companies made sets to this design, some in sterling silver This set however is an EPNS set, made available for those with bigger budget constraints I imagine, by the Plato Company in England. As far as I can ascertain this company was basically a flatware hire company, so I presume they may have supplied their cutlery to events and in some cases to organisations where children were cared for/fed, but perhaps retailed some EPNS sets as well. This set is pre-owned but still in very pleasing condition. The presentation box may have taken most of the damage with some abrasions to the surfaces – see images. The box measures 125mm long by 105mm wide and 25mm deep.
