Art Nouveau era WMF brass vase with panel of enamel decoration

Even for the art nouveau period, this vase is a stand out. With a panel of fine relief frieze and enamel painting, this is an example of Wurttemburgishe Metalwarenfabrik (WMF) at their finest. With the tall brass body almost divided into four discrete sections – the head. The decorative enamelled panel, atop the slender body, all supported by a stabilising foot, the vase is an uncommon design and difficult to find. The underside shows the WMF ostrich and rhombus beehive mark, which was introduced in 1909. Height 308mm tall with a base diameter of 95mm! In superb pre-owned but remarkably well cared for condition.
