Antique, rustic moss agate bracelet

NZ$135.00

This bracelet has five individual moss agate stones, leading Auld Curiosities to believe that it probably originated in Scotland, during the mid to late 19th century. The stones have ben polished but each retain some surface depressions following the natural state of the stone which adds to the interest and the reflective quality of the bracelet. The stones are mounted in what we believe to be pewter which had been silverplated but much of the plating has worn off the back. The fittings between each mounted stone are quite rudimentary but effective none the less. The five stones and fittings, excluding the fastening hook and chain, measure 172mm. When fastening fittings are included, the maximum length is 211mm. Auld Curiosities offers both measurements in case the potential buyer is considering extending the length by changing those fittings.
