Vintage 3 footed bowl in the Imperial Rose pattern, Marigold Carnival Glass
Made by the Imperial Glass Company of Bellaire, Ohio, probably in the 1930’s when carnival glass was in hot demand. The three footed bowl is in remarkable condition and retains the lustre, associated with carnival glass, well. The ‘Open Rose / Imperial Rose’ pattern was a successful one and the impressed pattern on the glass added texture and depth to the design. The bowl sits on three curled supports which, as well as allowing good light under the bowl, lifts the bowl to a height of 78mm with a maximum rim diameter of 190mm. No chips or cracks - in remarkable condition for its age.
