An antique fruit knife dating to he first year of WW1 (1914), with sterling silver blade

NZ$80.00

This is small fruit knife by any standard, measuring just 111mm with the blade extended. The blade is sterling silver with nice clear hallmarks and maker’s mark, attributing this knife to James Fenton and Co. of Great Hampton Street, Birmingham. The look of the knife is further enhanced with the use of mother of pearl scales on the handle. These scales have been engraved with a simple but effective pattern, giving the knife stand out qualities against many plainer competitors. The blade closes properly with a nice positive action and closed, the knife measures just 67mm.
