Satsuma bowl with cherry blossom surround and a rural village view

Auld Curiosities is pleased to offer this Satsuma bowl from Japan. The exterior wall of the bowl is decorated with a rendition of a bough of the Cherry Blossom tree in full bloom – this appears twice, each on opposite sides of the bowl. The rim of the bowl has gold trim leading over to a small band of red and gold geometric patterning. The bowl measures 181mm in diameter and sits 67mm tall. Condition is excellent with little, if any, signs of wear.
