Antique/vintage cigar scissors by Rob Kunde of Willstrasse, Dresden, Germany

NZ$35.00

Before the modern-day cigar cutters, the early dedicated tool for trimming the smoker’s end of a cigar was very much like this offering. Obviously, based on scissors but with a shaped curved cutting blade, I imaging that they did the job quite well. However later models of the same concept improved on the user’s grip and comfort by adopting much larger finger holes. This cigar scissor is German made but I am also listing a scissor branded as British made with exactly the same shape and dimensions so the pattern wasn’t unique to either firm. The scissors shoe the wear of considerable use and re-sharpening – indeed they are quite sharp even now. The metal looks as though is may be nickel plated. And the scissors are 114mm long with good firm action.

As photographs form an important part of the description, happy to provide additional images if requested. Please also take the time to check out our eclectic range of items being offered.
