Royal Albert trio in the ‘Petite Point’ pattern

Today the Auld Curiosities is pleased to offer a Royal Albert trio for your consideration. This beautiful little trio is in one of Royal Albert’s popular patterns, ‘Petit Point’, a pattern that proved to have excellent longevity (1932 – 1997). In terms of placing this trio age wise than we need to turn to the back stamp to have an idea of when the trio components might have been made. The structure of the back stamp on all three pieces match to a date of the 1940’s. The cup is in the Hampton shape and stands 2 ¾” (70mm) at the lip of the cup. The saucer has a diameter of 5 ½” (140mm) and the side plate has a diameter of 6 1/8” (156mm). Condition is excellent – no chips, cracks or signs of abuse.
