Cased Art deco era inspired brooch

While the art nouveau period is a personal favourite, the art deco period is also appreciated, especially when it comes to jewellery. This particular example probably represents the late art deco to mid-century period of design. The metal is unmarked and so in keeping with our commitment to honest representation, we sell as white metal rather than silver. Equally we regard the stones (which have considerable sparkle) as non-precious diamantes / glass, having said that it is a brooch that was sold with a fitted case suggesting some value to both jeweller and buyer. The brooch is fitted with a bar and locking ‘C’ clasp on the back and comes in a fitted case as shown in the photographs. The brooch is 1 11/16” (42.5mm) in width and has a maximum depth of ¾” (19mm).
