Antique Thomas Webb and Sons small water jug in the ‘Cheltenham’ pattern

NZ$80.00

This offering from Auld Curiosities is a small water jug, ideal perhaps for those who add water to their whisky, by the firm of Thomas Webb and Sons. This firm started in tin first half of the 19th Century and earned a reputation for excellence and design. This small jug holds 150mls when filled to the double line on the neck and a maximum 200mls at the rim. The pattern is ‘Cheltenham’ and the maker’s name appears as an acid etch mark on the base of the handle – dating this jug to between 1906 and 1935. The jug stands 4 1/8” (105mm) tall on a small foot.
