Bachelor’s 3 piece tea-set by Crown Ducal China of England

NZ$225.00

This attractive little set dates to as early as 1930 – when the design was registered with the Board of Trade as Rd.No.742834. Crown Ducal was developed as a trade name for A.G.Richardson & Co. Ltd around the mid 1910’s. The brand was known for its range of table-wares and ‘fancies’ with vibrant and often hand painted art deco tableware. This particular pattern is “Acacia” (A1699) and features a transfer print design that has been decorated with hand painting. It certainly would have been a cheerful visage to wake to in the morning. The tea-pot stands approximately 115mm tall to the top of the finial and measures 213mm from the tip of the spout to outer end of the. Handle. In breadth the tea-pot is approximately 105mm wide. The milk jug is approximateli51mm tall at the highest point, 78mm from front to the outer edge of the handle and 68mm in breadth. The sugar bowl is approximately 356mm tall and has a diameter od 68mm. There is a slight and small raised glazing mark on the tea-pot body, as can be seen in the 1st and 2nd images, otherwise, the set is free of chips, rubs and scratches or glaze crazing.

As photographs form an important part of the description, happy to provide additional images if requested. Please also take the time to check out our eclectic range of items being offered.
