Antique Paragon China Cup & Saucer Fruit Pattern #1541 Art Deco c.1923-33

On offer we have a bright and attractive cup and saucer by the Paragon brand which was manufactured in England. This china has a very pretty pattern consisting of multiple coloured fruits, on a black and white background. The fruits are citrus motifs, in colours of red, purple and yellow. These motifs are accented by vibrant yellow ribbon. green leaves and bold dark brown coloured vines/branches. Above this motif is a thin purple stripe that encircles the entire top inner ring of the cup. In addition to this design, the cup also has some black accents on its handle, and one continuous thin black line that encircles the outside of the cup. The saucer has this exact same design trim as the cup, located on the inner rim and surface of the saucer. There is a backstamp on both the cup and saucer: ‘Paragon, Fine Bone China, Made In England’ There is also the Star logo above the words Paragon. The pattern number is given as 1451. The backstamp dates the set to c.1923-33. The cup and saucer are in excellent vintage condition. The set does not have any chips, cracks or crazing.
