Vintage gilded bi-metal Royal New Zealand Army Medical Corps cap badge

NZ$55.00

This specific design of the cap badge features the St Edwards Crown on top. This dates the badge to 1953 and later. The gilt Ascelpius Rod is entwined by a snake – the early Greek symbol for physicians, medicine and healing. Laurel leaves represent honour and merit, while the crown symbolises royal patronage. The cap badge has two lugs suitable for fastening with a cotter or split pin. The badge is 35mm deep by 28mm at its widest.
